Business for a Better Portland continues to explore upcoming ballot measures, and we want your input.
This time, we’ll be studying the proposed Portland Clean Energy Fund ballot measure.
In response to requests from members and community stakeholders, the BBPDX Board of Directors will consider endorsing the measure that will promote clean energy projects and job training, funded by a 1% tax on certain large retailers. (Learn more about this measure by clicking here and here.)
Understanding that this is a multi-faceted issue, we are convening a work group of members to provide perspective on whether BBPDX should take a position on this measure, and if so, what resources can be identified to support that position.

- Discuss with other BBPDX members the benefits and drawbacks of endorsing or opposing this initiative
- Make recommendations on BBPDX's next steps on this issue
